Live the Movement in the streets

The best gift for kids is a... Mustang!

And the big kids want Mustang again...

If this year your little angel is having a hard time deciding which gift to ask Santa for, take a look at the new Ford Mustang Power Wheels and help her make the right decision.

Make it love the roads from a young age, and the new Ford Mustang Power Wheels is also suitable for grown-ups!

Ford and Fisher-Price® have joined forces to create the new Mustang Power Wheels® Smart Drive™. It's a realistic, high-tech, fast and fun battery-powered children's car. The Smart Drive Mustang is designed to delight budding performance enthusiasts with the exciting looks and performance of a unique pony car, and comes equipped with safety systems that make parents happy too.

Fisher-Price created the scale model, available in blue and pink, based on the actual Ford design. The result is a stunningly realistic Mustang - child-sized - that captures the spirit, style and high-performance features of the Mustang GT V8 aimed at adults.

"The Mustang is one of our most popular sports models," said Gary Collins, senior manager of design, Power Wheels. "For the Smart Drive Mustang, we wanted to emphasize the realistic driving experience to make the driver experience even more exciting for kids."

Smart Drive is new for Power Wheels vehicles. At its heart is the brand's first computer-controlled drive system, opening up new possibilities by making this Power Wheels Mustang a near-faithful replica of the full-size model:

Traction control: The computer can monitor wheel slip and adjust motor speeds to help the vehicle move on wet grass or poor pavement

Stability monitoring: A tilt sensor can detect when the car is approaching dangerous angles, turning off the motors to prevent a potential rollover

Digital speed control and battery monitoring: an illuminated LED control panel allows parents to check the top speed, from 1 mph to 5 mph, as well as the battery charge level

Slow starting and stopping: instead of a simple on/off operation, the motors gradually increase/decrease revs - for fast starts and short braking distances

Perhaps most enjoyable of all is the built-in sound system. This includes engine sounds recorded from a real Mustang that increase and decrease in volume depending on the speed of the vehicle - just like in a normal car. An AUX port allows kids to listen to their own music through the largest speaker ever installed in a Fisher-Price product.

The Smart Drive Mustang is now on display at the Los Angeles International Auto Show. It will be available to dealers in December. Visit the  www.PowerWheels.com to find a dealer. Its starting price is $359,99.
