The company and Fiat's racing division, with the scorpion as its emblem, is working in complete secrecy and at a feverish pace, preparing the most powerful model in its history, which will have nothing to do with what we have known so far.
Abarth 600e
Because of Abarth's intertwined relationship with Fiat, most people's thoughts went to the latest model introduced by Fiat, the new Fiat 600... and rightly so. The new model will become the first European SUV and five-door model in which Fiat will put the scorpion on the hood, after the necessary design and engineering improvements.
In particular the Abarth 600e will have new features both at mechanical and aesthetic level, following the style of the latest 500e Abarth, so it will feature wider wheel arches, larger alloy wheels, lowered bodywork and more muscular front and rear bumpers to give it a touch of sportiness and "aggression" that never hurts...
The sportier 600 will have a new 240bhp electric motor, compared to the 156 in the standard version. Sources say it will be equipped with all-wheel drive, ideal for controlling the B-SUV's big power.
When will it be presented?
The timetable predicts that the more powerful Abarth will be officially unveiled in the second half of 2024 with a commercial launch in early 2025. It is also expected that more news will emerge in the coming months about the future Abarth 600e, with the first prototypes coming out in the next few months. The new Abarth model is undoubtedly one that is destined to be talked about for a long time, and in the medium term we may see even more powerful versions.
The Abarth 500X left on paper
Recently, a forgotten pre-production model, in the final development phase, of the Abarth 500X, which we never saw on the streets, was recently made public. The thought in the company's people was there, however it never came to fruition, as there may have been misgivings about a scorpion badged SUV... Times are changing however, and here is the first European Abarth SUV.
