The new BluEarth-Van RY 55 joins the YOKOHAMA range as the ideal tyre for the light commercial vehicle category. With the new compound in its rubber mixture, the RY 55 significantly reduces fuel consumption while increasing its service life.
Development of the BluEarth-Van RY55 has focused on greatly improving its wear resistance, further improving wet grip and fuel economy. Wear resistance and wet grip have been enhanced by the development of a special tread pattern. The tyre features shoulders with deep grooves and corners that improve stability and water evacuation, while helping to prevent uneven wear. BluEarth-Van RY55 is made from a new chemical compound that includes a triple polymer to enhance the tire's durability and resistance to uneven wear and silica to increase fuel economy and wet grip performance. The new tyre, also features an updated profile that provides an optimal shape at the road contact patch, with more even pressure distribution.
