How... Trekking is the Fiat 500L Trekking?

Η Fiat seems to have struck vein of gold with the 500L. The model is becoming a commercial success and, the Italians, as experts in design, they made sure to give it that "something extra" to make it an attractive choice. They put new bumpers on it, gave it a little (or a lot) of buffing, put nice wheels on it, equipped it with some off-road possibilities and thus, the 500L Trekking.
This particular car as a whole is a surprise. Because, believe it or not, the differences with the "simple." 500L is huge. Not only in appearance but also in terms of Sense that the model gives the driver and passengers.

"Mansion"
I couldn't start from what, in my opinion, makes the 500L Trekking really (more) separate. And this, is the driving position. "Archoness"I would describe it, because it departs from the classical "amphitheatrical" that have "traditionally" all the MPVs. In this case, the position is a little reminiscent of... van (in a good sense) in the sense that the driver feels that he has everything "on a plate".
The same High feel to sit all passengers (even those in the back!) and this, creates a extra sense of comfort. In this, come to put their "touch" the excellent seats, η amortization offered by the posts and, in general, the rolling quality of the car. The spaces are also well distributed and, even the most demanding family, or company, will not face any problem in traveling or small movements, as apart from the basic ones, there are dozens of sites for small objects, cup holders etc.
The Inside is not only Minutes, but also stylishas well as functional. The three-cornered steering wheel with the controls on its spokes, the elegant dial, the dashboard with the extra locker, make up this picture. In the centre of the dashboard dominates the touch screen of Fiat with the very easy menu, which I would nevertheless like to slightly larger, just for aesthetic reasons.

With the space and comfort inside the Fiat 500L being at its most levels that are not open to... question, my only objection is the position where the switches of electric windowson my left. I would have preferred them further back, since my hand was unconsciously lowering the rear windows instead of the front. Of course, it could be just my fault.

On the road

With the redesigned exterior, the most "Trekking" bumpers, the protective skirt at the bottom, the +13 mm in length, the plastic protective surfaces and the taller, 145 mm taller body (10% taller than the 'conventional' 500L) and the 17s (very beautiful) rims with the Mud + Snow tires, he is given a wild character who loves "adventure". But it is so in reality;
Initially, in the city, the 500L Trekking has the great advantage to "hide" its volume. Η large turning radius make it flexible, while the reversing camera (displays the image on the touch screen in the middle of the dashboard) makes parking a breeze. It's worth noting that the Camera is mounted in such a position, at the back of the car, that the driver has a clear view, even if it's night and pouring rain.
From then on, all the driver (and passengers) have to do is to relax and enjoy the pleasant car setup. Visibility is perfect, the controls soft and easy to use, the steering wheel (which provides good information) the same. The road behaviour of the 500L Trekking, very friendly. Even when pushed too hard,
The inclinations does not affect its stability, while any progressively hypotrophic tendencies "collected" easily and with the help of electronics.

On the journey, the feeling is the same, with the suspension setting giving... change, in terms of the comfort it gives to the passengers. Off the road now?

For the tough stuff, Fiat has equipped the 500L Trekking with the Traction+ traction control system. This "reads" which of the two wheels has a larger adhesion and allocates more of the available torque to it. And the off road tyres improve traction so that an off-road excursion won't turn into a nightmare. Fiat obviously and by choice did not equip this model with all-wheel drive, avoiding to make it more "tough", therefore more "special" and in conclusion more expensive and unusable.
                Engine

So, for example, the consumption of the 500L Trekking was easily kept at around 7.5 lt/100 km in the city and not particularly economical driving.

Ο diesel of 1.6 litresand of 105 HP has enough power to move it quickly.

Besides, it has excess torque (320 Nm) from very low, since you feel the "pull" from the 1,750 rpm. From there on, combined with the very good scaling and feel six-speed gearbox, passes the power linearly and gives him very good performance for his class. Its noise is noticeable, but it won't bother in any way.

In conclusion, the Fiat 500L Trekking is not just beautiful, with the tasteful touches that the Italians put on it. Nor is it just practical, because of its volume, space. It is a real multifunctional car, which will meet the needs of a family without needing a shitload of money for maintenance and transport and will take everyone everywhere. What more could anyone want, today?
