The world's first, seven-seat racing sled is a Nissan !

Nissan thrills us once again with the launch of the world's first seven-seat racing sled in Innsbruck, Austria.

This particular sled was named the X-Trail, as this model was the inspiration for its design. The opening kick-off for the test was held at the historic Eagles Olympic track, with British Olympic champion Sean Olsson in the pilot's seat.

To build the sled, Nissan worked with leading experts in the field to transform a traditional four-seat sled into a seven-seat sled that can reach speeds of up to 100 km/h and a pulling force of 4.5g.

The seven-seat sled was developed using sketches and CAD (computer-aided design) technology. The detailing on the nose design was modelled on the V-type grille of the X-Trail, while the sculpting is also influenced by the design lines of this model.
