The next GT-R wants to break all Nurburgring records

will become Godzilla the ultimate king of (Green) Hell?

It is not by chance that he got the nickname Godzilla. The Nissan GT-R has already written his own Story in the generations that have passed and in the current one, but it seems that evolution never stops. After humiliated people and worldly in "Green Hell", the wannabe "King of the Nurburgring" comes more Pissed off than ever before. And this time, he's not kidding. He wants to chew and swallow anybody and everything dare to challenge his omnipotence.

This time, the list of candidate victims of Godzilla, not only does it have Porsche 911 and related supercars. He has put in his angry eyeliterally anything that moves fast. Even if it's called Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 Superveloce, Porsche 918 Spyder, Radical SR8, Radical SR8LM. Do you understand yet?

In recent years, the GT-R has built the reputation of Godgilla, of course on the streets and in the infinite battles with monsters of all kinds, but mostly in... hell. The Green Hell. The track of the Nurburgring, where, for the Time in which he turns her, spilled tonnes of ink. And for the... eyes of which he entered a nice (for us) counter with Porsche challenging Nissan's measurements.

In any case, after countless races and versions upon versions, Nissan managed to catch the fifth place in the Top of the all-time best times in the 'ring (for road vehicles we are talking about), with 7:08.68. In front of him, the monsters mentioned above, with times under 7 and with absolute -until now- king το Radical SR8LM who, in 2009, broke the record held by his "brother" since 2005, 6:48against 6:56.08.

So what does Nissan want? Having made time just 9 seconds slower from a Aventador 700 horsepower with racing tyres, with the R35 GT-R 600 hp, the Japanese believe that easily the next generation GT-R will drop under 7 and that, sooner or later, the R36 will do best time of Radical SR8LM! Remember what we tell you, here at TopSpeed.gr: The next victim of Godgilla will be called Radical.

And how will he manage this? The next GT-R will be wearing a slightly modified version of the 3 litre V6 who wore the LMP1 GT-R (yes, the front-wheel drive car that ran at Le Mans). The "father" of the LMP1 GTR, Ben Bowlby, says this motor is "the ancestor" of the future Nissan GT-R's engine, stressing that many of its parts will be used "in their entirety". As it stands, this engine with the cut-off at 6,500 rpm. Turns out 550 horsepower and, it's not hard to imagine that Nissan will sting him to make something more, if not the same as their 600 horsepower of today's Nismo GT-R.

With this motor, a (?) electric, as Nissan has confirmed (which means extra power), while in terms of aerodynamics, Nissan has admitted that the Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo (pictured) is its vision for the next Nissan GT-R. So Godgilla is doing gymnastics to grow up and bite the... universe.
