What the VW Golf that became the king of the Nurburgring wears

On a sunny day, the VW downloads to "green hell" the new Golf GTI Clubsport S. He makes a few laps, where the Megane RS was in the ascendant, until the new Civic Type-R. Shortly afterwards, VW was proudly saying that this Golf is the new (front-wheel drive) king of the Nurburgring .

The King is naked", many will say, talking about a stripped version of the Golf GTI. Is that so? Let's see. what this Golf is wearing and what setup it has, which will be produced in just 400 units and covered the 20.8 kilometres of the Ring in time 7:49.21.
The more expensive golf that humanity has seen to date is two-seater. It has two giant buckets inside, in grey color. It wears the 2L TSI with performance 305 horsepower and torque 225 pft between the 1.700 and 5.300 rpm.

Weighs 1,284 kg and steps on 19mm wheels by semi-slick tyres. It has four drivers: Comfort, Normal, Race and Nurburgring. In the latter, it essentially sets the sound, engine and steering wheel in mode Race and the Dynamic Chassis Control in the Comfort position, since the Ring has some anomalies ("some").

It wears a new exhaust with two exhaust tips of 65 mm (compared to 55 of the "traditional" Golf GTI) with freer "breathing", which is also the reason for the huge flames that he gets out of them.

The nice thing is that it comes out with a manual 6-speed gearbox, by which the professional racing driver Benny Leuchter set the record. Of course, it has a different, stiffer suspension, variable degree locking differential and ESP with settings inspired by the world of motorsport.
Benny, as we were saying, with the Golf, as we were saying

The Golf GTI Clubsport S makes the 0-100 km/h in 5.8 seconds and has final 263 h.a.o.. It was presented on 4 May at the 35th GTI Meeting in Rifnitz, Austria.
