The new Porsche 911 GT2 RS will have a top speed of 350!

Η Porsche is feverishly preparing the new 911 GT2 RSin order to build the fastest 911 ever built and, apparently, it's close. The latest information is that it will be quick. Frighteningly fast. For starters, we're learning that flat-six 3,8 litres which will wear (in the classic position) will yield 700 horsepower and 76,5 kgm torque. But this is only the beginning.

This information - and more - comes from the editors of Automobile Magazine who were able to take a 911 GT2 RS development prototype for a spin. They themselves say that this particular Porsche accelerates to 100 h.a.o.. from stop to 2.9 seconds. These figures come from Porsche, which is very cautious about the numbers. For example, it estimated that the latest 911 Turbo S does the 100 sprint in 2.8 seconds and the media tests measured it in 2.5 seconds.
Like this, Porsche gives a final for the GT2 RS at around 340 g.p.h.., but the magazine's editors say they saw on the counter 350 on a quick walk on the Autobahn. Either way, the German company claims that its new model will make the 0-200 h.p.h. in "less than nine seconds“.

Curiously, although Porsche offers preview rides to European media, it does not confirm or deny anything as it "cannot comment or participate in theoretical discussions about a possible future product".

"Possible"? Yet. Η GT2 RS debuted at the premiere of the video game Forza Motorsport 7, but Porsche has not yet publicly acknowledged/confirmed the existence of this model and therefore does not provide official performance information. Either way, confirmed or not, the GT2 RS will be very fast.
