The Abarth 124 rally confirmed its position as the dominant player in the institution
FIA R–GT Cup, winning the title of Champion for 3η Retrieved from

sovereignty of Abarth 124 rally, which started in 2018 with the Frenchman Raphaël Astier and continued in 2019, this time with the Italian Enrico
Brazzoli.
This year in the institution of the FIA R–GT, o Mabellini, managed to cut the thread of the championship first, ahead of Petr
Nešetřil (Porsche 997 GT3), Luc Caprasse (Abarth 124 rally), Pierre Ragues
(Alpine A110S) and Roberto Gobbin (Abarth 124 rally).
"Scorpius" sealed this year's title in the difficult ACI Rally Monza 2020, which was characterised by extremely adverse weather conditions,
with routes often covered by snow, ice or mud. The balance
of Abarth 124 rally even gave the chance to win to the Mabellini, but who in the end slowed down to ensure the finish
and winning the title. Having started his racing career in
2017, the Abarth 124 rally, has impressed with its performance, but also
the spectacle it offers, thrilling rally fans at every pass. Ο
1.8-litre turbocharged engine delivers 300 hp and the
most important more than 600Nm torque, which are carried on the road
exclusively through the rear wheels. The excellent weighing and the solutions that
have found the engineers of Abarth with regard to posting, electronics and the
transmission system, allow the 124 rally to be extremely effective in any
surface, despite the movement on both wheels. In several cases, the Abarth 124 rally when conditions permit it has been shown
faster even than competitors with all-wheel drive,
proving that the racing gene of the brand's founder, Carlo Abarth,
remains as alive as ever.
