Porsche presents the most powerful Cayenne ever

Porsche

Porsche unveils the pinnacle of its SUV range, the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid. This 739bhp leader stands out with unparalleled driving prowess, efficiency and everyday functionality. The Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid Coupé with the GT package further emphasises the driving dynamics and boasts a distinctly sporty appearance.

Following the successful debut of the new Cayenne in early 2023, Porsche is reinforcing the completely revamped third generation of this famous SUV with a flagship model. Consistent with its predecessor, the more powerful Cayenne remains a plug-in hybrid. Porsche has improved the technology from the previous Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid, notably improving the electric range and performance. These improvements significantly upgrade its everyday functionality and driving dynamics. A 176 hp electric motor complements the updated 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine with an output of 599 hp. Together, they produce a combined 739 PS and a maximum torque of 950 Nm. The performance of the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid places it firmly at the top of the range, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and achieving a top speed of 295 km/h.

Compared to its predecessor, the newer Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid has a significantly extended electric range and reduced charging time. With an increased capacity of 25.9 kWh, the high-voltage battery under the floor facilitates an electric range of up to 82 kilometres. The new integrated 11 kW charger reduces charging time to less than two and a half hours at compatible charging points, despite the increased battery capacity.

Standard adaptive air suspension with dual chamber technology, with two valves: Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid models are equipped with an adaptive air suspension with innovative dual-chamber and dual-valve technology. This allows separate settings for the rebound and compression phases of the suspension, improving both comfort and safety, and provides a wider range between Comfort and Sport Plus suspension modes. This suspension system ensures stable handling during sharp turns, comfort during loose rides and optimum reduction of lean and roll. Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) is standard, with options for Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) and rear axle steering.

The elite status of the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid SUV and Coupé is evident in their design. Both versions feature the distinctive Turbo front design, with larger cooling air intakes accented by gloss black airblades. The wheel arch trim and body-coloured rear bumper further emphasise their performance-oriented character. Unique features include dual brushed stainless steel dual exhausts and red brake calipers.

Inside, aluminium accents on the dashboard and door panels emphasise the performance-focused theme. The roof lining is adorned with Race-Tex. Standard features include a heated GT sport steering wheel, a mode dial for quick mode changes and 18-way adjustable leather sport seats. A choice of 14-way adjustable leather comfort seats is also available.

The Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid incorporates all the improvements introduced in the 2023 model upgrade. This includes a refreshed cockpit with a digital instrument panel, redesigned center console and optional passenger display. High-definition HD-Matrix LED headlights, standard on new Turbo E-Hybrid models, ensure improved night visibility and safety.

Increased performance: the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid Coupé with GT package

The Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid Coupé with the GT package offers an even sportier look, incorporating selected performance features from the Cayenne Turbo GT, which is no longer available in some markets. All chassis and control systems, including air suspension, are tailored for this model. The body is set 10mm lower, with GT-specific pivot bearings adjusting the front axle curve by -0.58 degrees. This, combined with wider front wheels, results in sharper cornering, increased steering precision and improved traction. High-performance Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) is standard on the GT package, with options for performance tyres, PDCC and rear axle steering.

The Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid Coupé with GT Package combines outstanding driving capabilities with the versatility of the new E-Hybrid system, representing the widest range of dynamic performance and efficiency in the Cayenne range. On the outside, the GT Package is differentiated by a unique front fascia, black wheel arch extensions, carbon side plates on the roof spoiler, central exhaust tips from the Turbo GT's titanium exhaust and a carbon rear diffuser. The roof is made of lightweight carbon fiber. This model accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds, while its top speed reaches 305 km/h.
