An exciting weekend and a touching moment, on the day of Abarth

Abarth Day, the big day of gathering of the brand's fans, took place at Varano de' Megelari (Italy) and Rockingham circuit (UK) with an amazing performance at Le Mans by the Movistar Yamaha Moto GP team, sponsored by Abarth. Valentino Rossi impressed with his usual passion for riding, although he failed to cut the thread in the end. His teammate Maverick Vignales was the race winner, celebrating 500 overall victories for Yamaha.

However, the Abarth and Yamaha partnership is also unfolding on the road, in addition to the track. The result of this is the unrivalled Abarth 595 Yamaha Factory Racing and 695 biposto Yamaha Factory Racing Edition, to which another unique version, the new Abarth 695 XSR Yamaha Limited Edition, has recently been added. The new 695 XSR Yamaha is available exclusively in Pista Grey and in just 695 hatchback and 695 convertible units. In Greece, it can be obtained by special order.

The icing on the cake this magical weekend for the scorpion brand was winning the women's trophy at the 2017 Mille Miglia in a 1957 Abarth 750 GT Zagato. The classic Abarth car was driven by Maria and Luigia Gaburri, daughter and wife respectively of Roberto Gaburri, founder and first president of the organizing company, 1000 Miglia srl, who passed away last year.
