1,104 Ford Fiesta cars recalled in Greece

The recall of 1,104 Ford Fiesta cars with 1.4 and 1.6 litre diesel engines in Greece has been announced by the General Secretariat of Industry. These cars were produced between 1/1/2012 and 29/8/2013.

And why are they being recalled? According to Ford, in these cars, the diesel engine preheater control unit can be affected by wet weather conditions. Any water intrusion into the electronic unit can cause it to overheat, with a potential risk of fire if the vehicle is left unattended.

So far, no accident related to this issue has been reported. The procedure has already been initiated to inform the owners of the above vehicles, through a personal letter, so that they can come to the local Authorized Ford Repairers to make the necessary corrective actions, without any financial burden.

For further information or clarifications, owners can contact the Ford Authorized Repairer Network or the telephone number 210 - 4805620, as well as the e-mail address info11@ford.com
