On Tuesday 21 March in Athens, Nissan - Nik. I. Theocharakis S.A. won the Silver Award in the Green Business Model category at this year's Green Brand Awards, organized for the third year by Boussias Events.

This award comes as a culmination of Nissan's ongoing commitment to the Nissan - Nick. I. Theocharakis S.A. to protect the environment and enhance its environmental footprint through a series of investments and practices that promote sustainability and sustainable development.

The company's already installed photovoltaic systems have a total nominal power of 700 kW, while the estimated annual avoidance of CO₂ emissions (compared to energy from fossil fuels) amounts to 678 tonnes.

With the project at full capacity, as the company has recently integrated a number of additional solar panels at its Athens facility, the nominal total capacity of the investment will amount to 850 kW, with the company's existing energy needs being covered by 80%.

At the same time, Nissan Nick. I. Theocharakis S.A. invests in systems and technologies for additional energy saving (LED lighting, automation, air conditioning systems, etc.), actions which result in reductions of 20% of total electricity consumption.

In addition to these, at the Nissan - Nik. I. Theocharakis S.A. in Athens and Thessaloniki, it is possible to charge the company's innovative electric models with electricity from the photovoltaic complexes, thus serving both its own fleet of electric vehicles and the electric cars of its customers/visitors.

The award was received by Ms Nicole Marinou, Marketing Executive of Nissan - Nick. Theocharakis S.A., where she stated the following : "Nissan - Nik. I.
