Under the microscope
The new Essential versions are available with a 70 kW (95 PS) turbocharged petrol engine (TSI) mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox for Taigo and T-Cross. The T-Roc is available with an 85 kW (116 PS) 1.0 TSI petrol engine and an 85 kW (116 PS) 2.0 TDI diesel engine. These two engines are mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
It is worth noting that the Essential versions, like all Volkswagen models, come with a 4-year factory warranty, offering safety and peace of mind.
