Suzuki Jimny nominated for World Car of the Year!

Suzuki took a bold step with the introduction of the Jimny and is being rewarded for it. Not only by the enthusiastic reception from the public, but also by the overall performance of its hardy model. Now, the Jimny, following the success of the Ignis in 2017 and the Swift in 2018, which were named among the top three cars in the World Urban Car category, is in contention for three awards this year including the World Car of the Year award.

The Suzuki Jimny, in addition to claiming the World Car Of the Year title, is nominated for two more awards, as it is in the final five for the World Urban Car 2019 award and in the global top 5 of cars competing for the World Car Design 2019 title.

The World Car Awards, which is being held for the sixth consecutive year, is perhaps the most important awards event in the global automotive world as it is organised and voted for by 86 distinguished automotive journalists from 24 different countries around the world.

The excitement for the World Car Finals countdown will continue on Tuesday 5 March during a stop at the Geneva Motor Show where the top 3 global finalists will be announced, along with the 2019 World Person of the Year.

The journey of contention ends with the Grande Finale awards ceremony that opens the New York International Auto Show on Wednesday 17 April 2019.
