The Italian F4 Championship at the "University of Motorsport"

The first round outside Italy of the Italian F4 Championship this year takes place at the legendary Spa-Francorchamps.

Spa-Francorchamps

In one of the most impressive, demanding and popular circuits for drivers and the public, the action of this year's Italian F4 Championship continues. Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, the "University of Motorsport" will host 38 drivers from 23 countries for the third round of the event, where Formula 1 drivers such as Lando Norris, Lance Stroll and Mick Schumacher have taken their first steps in single-seater racing. The Tatuus cars are powered by Abarth's 1.4 T-Jet engine producing 180 hp, a unit that also powers the brand's production 695 series models.

The race in Belgium will also mark the first appearance - for this season - of Greek driver Tzortzi Makrogiannis, who is part of the Cram Motorsport team. The Spa circuit will also see drivers from other F4 championships - which also use Abarth-powered cars - such as Nicholas Monteiro, who competes in Brazil, and Valerio Rinicella, from Spanish F4.

The action in Belgium starts on Friday with free practice, Saturday will see qualifying and the first race, while on Sunday the programme will conclude with the second and third races with the high chances of rainfall raising the adrenaline of the drivers and teams.

Abarth's connection with Spa-Francorchamps is particularly close and long, both through racing and production cars. A few months ago the brand unveiled the F595 "Spa-Francorchamps" collector's series which was built in 150 units and sold out in just a few hours of availability.
