An Revolutionary electric pop symbol

The first Renault 5, launched in 1972, left its mark thanks to its modern, unconventional design. For millions of families, it was a car that provided answers to the challenges of the time.
In 2024, the prototype was reinvented as the Renault 5 E-Tech electric, an all-electric vehicle, 3.92 metres long, with a magnetic design. Based on the new AmpR Small platform, with multi-link rear suspension borrowed from higher-end models, this electric pop symbol offers a dynamic and enjoyable driving experience. Built in northern France as part of a sustainable production system, Renault 5 E-Tech electric has all the features needed to establish itself as a city car and as a benchmark for the energy transition.
Launched in France last October, the Renault 5 E-Tech electric is gradually being rolled out across Europe.
For more than a dozen years, Renault has been trying to make electrification accessible to everyone. Following the launch of two all-electric models in segment C - Megane E-Tech electric and Scenic E-Tech electric - Renault is turning its attention to segment B with the Renault 5 E-Tech electric, followed by the Renault 4 E-Tech electric for 2025. These two models will play a key role in accelerating the uptake of electric vehicles and reinforcing Renault's position as a leader in the new era of sustainable mobility.
Alpine A290: a "hot hatch" for the electric era
With the launch of the A290, Alpine enters a new era. An era of reinventing sports electrification. It revives the so-called "hot hatch" segment and incorporates the first stage of the Alpine Dream Garage, introduced in 2021 as part of Renaulution. The A390 sport fastback will soon follow, as will the new A110.
Based on Alpine's DNA, the A290 offers emotions similar to those behind the wheel of the A110, with a city sports car. Developed on the AmpR Small platform, which it shares with the Renault 5 E-Tech electric, the A290 is compact, agile and offers high performance that is easy for the driver to exploit, while guaranteeing comfort in everyday use.
With its striking design, top-of-the-line technical features, supercharged connectivity equipment, and numerous driving personalization options, the Alpine A290 ushers in a new generation of Alpine, designed for the age of electrification.
The A290 is also built in France at the Douai plant, part of ElectriCity, while the 180 and 220hp electric motors are produced at the Cléon facility.
