Rendezvous in the unseen world of Alfa Romeo

The Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese, this year organizes 12 presentations to celebrate the many important anniversaries that 2023 brings for Alfa Romeo, from the 100th anniversary of the Quadrifoglio, to the 60th birthday of the Autodelta

The Quadrifoglio, the Autodelta, the Giulia Sprint GT, Giuseppe Busso and the triumphs in the DTM. These are just some of the aspects on which the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese will focus with special presentations every month of 2023. It is a tradition that began some four years ago, when the museum's managers created a parallel collection of rare objects, documents and prototypes that shed light on unseen aspects of the stories that built the Alfa Romeo legend.

 

This year's first cycle starts with a day dedicated to the 8C Competizione, which celebrates 20 years since its first presentation at the Frankfurt Motor Show, and continues in February with the 40th anniversary of the 8C Competizione.α birthday of one of the brand's most popular models, the Alfa 33.

The spring will be full of stories that all Alfa Romeo fans love: the 60th anniversary of Alfa Romeo's 60th anniversary.η anniversary of the legendary Autodelta racing division, the 110th anniversary of theη Giuseppe Busso's birth anniversary and the 30α birthday of the 155 that broke all records in the German DTM.

With the start of summer, the Museum will reveal the unseen side of the Quadrifoglio, from its appearance in 1923 at the Targa Florio, to its evolution through racing and production cars. Then, two lesser-known aspects, such as Alfa Romeo's production of heavy vehicles and the transfer of its production to Brazil, will reveal another page of the brand's history.

In September it will be the turn of Montreal, while in October the Museum's experts will focus on Alfa Romeo's collaboration with Carrozzeria Zagato. In November, another important anniversary, that of the 60th anniversary of the Giulia Sprint GT, will invite fans of the brand to the Museum, while the closing of the year will be dedicated to the history of Alfa Romeo during the 2th IP, where production was transferred from Portello (Milan) to other temporary facilities.

Former employees of the company, historians, journalists and race drivers will talk about the unseen side. In total, more than 80 special guests have participated since the events began in 2019 and to date, accompanying with their stories, cars, prototypes and rare materials from the brand's archives.
