See a Porsche 935 (Moby Dick) chained to the dynamometer

The Porsche 935 was a
racing car which was introduced in 1976. Based on the Porsche
Carrera RSR 2.1 and delivers 750 horses.
The 935 won in 1979 at the
24 Hours of Le Mans as well as other major endurance races,
including Sebring, Daytona, and the 1000 kilometers at
Nürburgring. Of the 370 races he ran, he won 123!

The large turbocharger used with mechanical fuel injection produced the large turbo lag and a huge flame from the exhaust. A rear-wheel drive four-speed with two turbos was the definition of hard to drive while the V6 engine produced 750-800 horsepower, with a top speed of 350 mph.

There were 7 variants of the 935, culminating in the 1978 Moby Dick. The dominance of the 935 was ended by the FIA rule changes that came into force in 1982
