The Mercedes EQA, now available in four-wheel drive versions

The orders of EQA, the Benjamin of pure electricity
family of Mercedes–EQ, have exceeded 20,000 since February and are increasing
daily. Now two new members are joining the family of this new compact SUV: the EQA 300 4MATIC with 168 kW and range 400-426 km (according to the cycle
measurement WLTP) and the EQA 350 4MATIC with 215 kW and a range of 409-432 km
(according to the measurement cycle WLTP).

The particularly comprehensive standard equipment of the EQA 300 4MATIC and EQA 300 4MATIC
EQA 350 4MATIC includes among others the LED High Performance headlights with
the Adaptive Highbeam Assist headlight beam adjustment system, trunk
with EASY-PACK system, with electric opening and closing, alloy wheels 18
inches, ambient lighting with 64 shades, seats with adjustable side bolsters, and a
four-point support, reversing camera for even better visibility
and comfort when manoeuvring, the dual-zone, automatic THERMOTRONIC air conditioning and
a multifunctional, sporty leather steering wheel. Also included as standard equipment is
MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) infotainment system with learning function
and intuitive handling, as well as the navigation system with an "electrical" system
intelligence".

Practical packages
Equipment

Mercedes has significantly simplified
the way EQA is personalised. Instead of having to choose between
in 100 separate equipment options, customers have the possibility to choose
between two practical, predetermined packages:

The package Advanced adds a series of
comfort and safety features in addition to the standard equipment for the EQA.
Inside, two 10.25-inch screens come together to create a "Widescreen
Cockpit". The driver enjoys the support of the blind spot recognition system
Blind Spot Assist, the mirror package and the parking package
with reversing camera.
The Premium package adds to the above a panoramic
sliding roof, the Burmester sound system^® surround and the 360° camera parking package.

The EQA is also available as an option in the Electric version
Art of Mercedes-EQ. Accents in the sophisticated colour rosé gold emphasize the upholstery and vents,
while the decorative elements are illuminated against the background. This equipment line includes
also separate 18-inch alloy wheels.

Efficient
electric drive system

For the front axle, an asynchronous axle is used
engine. The electric motor, a fixed ratio gearbox with differential, the
cooling system and power electronics create an integrated and very compact and
a compact unit - the electric drive train (eATS).

In addition, the EQA 300 4MATIC and EQA 350 4MATIC are equipped with
electric drive system on the rear axle with a newly
sophisticated, permanently excited synchronous engine, the design of which is
particularly compact. In a permanently excited modern engine, the rotor of the

permanent magnets. The magnets - and consequently the rotor - follow
the rotating AC field in the stator windings. Ο
engine is said to be synchronous, because the rotor rotates with the
the same rhythm as the magnetic field of the stator. The frequency is adjusted to the
speed desired by the driver in the frequency converters of the electronic
Power. The advantages of this design include high density
power, high efficiency and consistency in terms of performance.

In these four-wheel-drive versions, the power between the front and rear axles
and rear axle is intelligently controlled 100 times per second, depending on the
driving status. The Mercedes-EQ philosophy is to optimise fuel consumption
using the rear electric motor as often as possible, while the asynchronous
engine on the front axle causes only minimal traction losses in
partial load operation.

Charging and benefits in Greece

Charging the battery, which has a capacity of 66.5 kWh, can be done externally or with alternating current (AC) or with direct current (DC). In the case of AC charging and with the assistance of the
11 key vehicle charger of 11kW, the charging time in a wallbox or charging station is a little less than 6
hours (10-100% SoC). With the basic charging vehicle system
DC power and in a fast charging station, the battery can achieve
a quick charge in about 30 minutes (10-80% SoC).
