The Lamborghini Aventador 750 SV conquers the Ring by breaking the 7-minute barrier

If the 8 minutes are the benchmark for the front-wheel drive mid-size cars in the "Green Hell", the 7 minutes separate the supercars from their competitors. Lamborghini has released the video of the timed lap of the Aventador Superveloce.

During development testing of Pirelli's P Zero Corsa tyres, the LP 750-4 with the 750 hp V12 recorded a time of 6:59.73, breaking the 7-minute barrier. This performance brings it very close to Porsche's hybrid hypercar, the 918 Spyder (6:57). Just before the end of the run, the Aventador's speedometer read 325 km/h on the long straight.

The LP 750-4 SV was unveiled last March in Geneva, and apart from the extra 50bhp compared to the... regular Aventador, it is distinguished by a large fixed rear wing that, combined with other aerodynamic improvements, offers 170% more vertical force. Official numbers claim 0-100 km/h in 2.8 sec and a top speed of 350 km/h.
