Demand adds Luton to the production plants of the new FIAT Professional Scudo

Alongside production at the Hordain plant in France, the new FIAT Professional Scudo will now also be manufactured at the Stellantis plant in Luton, England, in order to meet the very high demand for the model more quickly.

The Stellantis production facility in Luton, England, is increasing the number of models manufactured at its facility, with the addition of the production of the new FIAT Professional Scudo. The aim is to support the availability of the model, which has been in high demand since its launch in spring 2022.

For the first time a FIAT / FIAT Professional model will be built in the UK. The Scudo produced in Luton will be "left-hand drive" and "right-hand drive" versions, covering the entire European market.

At the same time, production of the FIAT Professional Scudo will continue at the Stellantis production plant in Hordain, France, which is also responsible for the production of the all-electric version of the model, the e-Scudo.

With a focus on ergonomics and extensive use of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), the new Scudo is an efficient commercial vehicle that offers levels of comfort and safety comparable to passenger models. Elements such as independent suspension on all four wheels, automatic transmission and a comfortable driving position are combined with a full range of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). The van version is available in three lengths, 4.6, 5 and 5.3 metres (and corresponding payload volumes of 4.6, 5 and 6.1 cubic metres). Similarly, the new all-electric e-Scudo offers best-in-class range, with up to 330km on the WLTP cycle, a performance that makes it ideal for urban and suburban transport. With zero emissions and outstanding efficiency, the e-Scudo gives the choice of two battery capacity levels, 50 and 75 kWh, but also offers ultra-fast charging that reaches 11 kW on the home grid and 100 kW on the DC grid, where the model charges more than its 80% battery in just 45 minutes.

"It's excellent news for the Luton plant the start of production and FIAT Professional Scudo", noted Mr. Mark Noble, Head of Unit. "This development means that we now have all the brands of professional models in our facilities. Stellantis for the European and UK markets."

The new FIAT Professional Scudo and e-Scudo are also available in the Greek market in a wide range of versions that are covered by a 5-year factory warranty with power up to 200,000km.
