Alfa Romeo presents the new Giulia and Stelvio

The Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio evolve in terms of style and technology, while maintaining the brand's authentic DNA that has remained unchanged since 1910.

Alfa Romeo

Revelation of the new Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio. The two award-winning models, which are benchmarks thanks to their ideal weight distribution, top driving feel and cutting-edge technology in the mechanical parts, enter a new era. The dynamic, yet harmonious design of the two models now becomes even more contemporary, thanks to aesthetic interventions that create a clearer link with Tonale. The new Giulia and Stelvio will go on sale after mid-1stth quarter of 2023.

New external appearance

The new "Trilobo", the composition of the characteristic triangular grille ("Scudetto") and the air vents on either side of it, offer a more aggressive but always elegant nose. The dominant feature is the new "3+3" Full-LED Adaptive Matrix "3+3" headlamps, which follow the example of the Tonale. This element reinforces the link with the newest model in the range and also brings to mind today's legendary Italian marque designs such as the Alfa Romeo SZ Zagato and the Alfa Romeo Proteo prototype. In addition to aesthetics, the three elements of the new headlamps upgrade performance thanks to the automatic adjustment system that adjusts the light beam according to speed and driving conditions. At the same time, the system senses the movement of other vehicles and avoids blinding them. More efficient, with lower energy consumption and more comfortable for the driver's eyes, the new Giulia and Stelvio headlamps are an ideal combination of aesthetics and technology. Full-Led technology is also used for the rear lights of both models. In the case of the Giulia they are covered by a dark-coloured cover with a glossy black finish, while in the case of the Stelvio they are covered by a glossy transparent cover.

New, purely digital instrument panel

The new Giulia and Stelvio are equipped with a range of new technologies that ensure a high level of comfort and connectivity, while providing the driving pleasure that characterises an Alfa Romeo. Completely new is the instrument panel, which retains the traditional "cannocchialle" design with its two round gauges, but now consists of a high-definition and customisable 12.3-inch TFT display. The panel has three basic configurations: Evolved, Relax and Heritage.

Evolved: This configuration expresses the future of Alfa Romeo design by utilising the central panel space to display the advanced functions offered by the two models.

Relax: With an emphasis on comfort, this configuration retains only the essential elements allowing the driver to enjoy a safe and distraction-free driving experience.

Heritage: Inspired by the 1960s and 1970s, the driver of the modern Giulia and Stelvio can enjoy the classic instrument panel with its distinctive fonts and indicators.

Technology NFT and services "Alfa Connect Services"

The new Giulia and Stelvio are equipped with a range of technologies that make living with them even simpler and more comfortable. "Alfa Connect Services", which also offer the possibility of upgrades via the internet ("Over the Air"), offer functions that allow the car to be controlled (lights, locks, system status, etc.) remotely via the user's mobile phone. At the same time, the NFT technology, first introduced to the automotive world through Tonale, is now also available on the new Giulia and Stelvio, offering - if the buyer so wishes - a watertight certificate of the car's history. The NFT certificate can be used as an additional guarantee of the car's condition at resale, further enhancing its residual value.

Benchmark in the field of road behaviour

Thanks also to the innovative "Giorgio" platform, the new Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio are the absolute benchmark in their classes in terms of road handling. The redefinition of the sporty character for the 21ο The 21st century, which began with the recent launch of the Tonale, continues with the new Giulia and Stelvio thanks to a range of exclusive options:

Low weight and flexibility: the dynamic behaviour of the Giulia and Stelvio is supported by the extensive use of ultra-lightweight materials from the world of racing, such as aluminium (bodywork, suspension, etc.) and carbon fibre (bodywork and central transmission axle).

All-wheel drive with technology Q4: designed to actively optimise traction, Q4 technology combines the efficiency and driving pleasure of rear-wheel drive with the safety and performance of a 4×4 transmission system. The heart of the system is the ATC (Active Transfer Case), which records conditions in real time and manages torque on each axle. In just 150 milliseconds, the Q4 can transfer up to 50% of torque to the front wheels, and its design, in addition to its low weight, allows even demanding track use without the need for a special cooling circuit.

Mechanical limited slip system Q2: Depending on the version, a mechanical limited-slip rear differential is also available, which further enhances the agility and traction offered by both models.

Post Alfa LinkTM: Driving an Alfa Romeo is an unforgettable experience and the exclusive Alfa Link suspension architecture plays an important role in this.TM. On the front axle, the double swingarms work together with an extremely direct, linear and quick steering system, while on the rear axle the multiple links ensure top flexibility, responsiveness and comfort. Active Alfa suspension is also available on both modelsTM Active Suspension, with electronically controlled shock absorbers.

Braking system IBS (Integrated Braking System): another exclusive Alfa Romeo system, which, with an extremely low weight compared to conventional braking systems, reduces the vehicle's stopping distance while increasing durability, even in extremely demanding conditions.

Alongside all of the above systems, the new Giulia and Stelvio benefit from ZF's outstanding 8-speed automatic transmission with its impressive yet practical aluminium paddles for "manual" gear changes, as well as a full range of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

New range configuration

Following the example of the Tonale, the new Giulia and Stelvio follow a new strategy in the range configuration. Two versions are available, the Super and Ti. The first is the gateway to the world of Alfa Romeo and can be upgraded with the Sprint sports package. Similarly, the Ti, with its emphasis on elegance and distinctive character, can be upgraded with the Veloce package for the ultimate in luxury and dynamism. The available petrol and diesel powerplants of the new Giulia and Stelvio offer options from 160 to 280 hp, all of which are combined exclusively with the 8-speed automatic transmission.

Special series Competizione

The unveiling of the new Giulia and Stelvio is combined with the launch of the special Competizione range which is positioned at the top of the new range of the two models. Based on the Veloce version, the Competizione is equipped with the exclusive Moon Light gray matt paint, red brake calipers, a sporty interior with leather trim and Alfa Active Suspension active suspension.
