For the third consecutive year the Ford family SUV - which can drive silently and with zero emissions in the EV Now 3 programme - is once again at the top of the plug-in hybrid sales rankings on the Old Continent.

Last year, customers bought 25% more Kuga Plug-in Hybrids than the second best-selling PHEV. 1

The new Kuga Plug-in Hybrid was introduced earlier this year, offering even more features and capabilities that customers will appreciate.

The new model accelerates faster and can now tow up to 2,100 kg - more than any other vehicle in its class. 4 It also travels even more comfortably, offering technologies that can, among other things, automatically slow down the vehicle on bends, roundabouts and motorway exits with the satellite navigation system activated. 5 It also offers an advanced 5.6-degree 360-degree camera system that can display a panoramic view of the car on the 13.2-inch center screen during parking maneuvers.

At the same time, it is better connected. The SYNC 4 infotainment system 7 integrates smartphones with Apple CarPlay wireless and Android Auto 8 and offers 5G connectivity, 9 and even comes with Alexa Built-in 10 as standard.

Drivers can also charge the battery of the new Ford Kuga PHEV at a charging station or any other power point. The high-voltage battery can provide up to 69 km of all-electric range with the EV Now 3 programme enabled, or help increase the vehicle's overall range with the help of the petrol engine for longer journeys.

Europe's best-selling PHEV 1.2 is built on the Old Continent, at Ford's plant in Valencia, Spain.

The new Ford Kuga will go on sale from this month.
