Fiat & Abarth: What CEO Olivier François confirmed about the future of the two Brands

Olivier François spoke yesterday about the future of Fiat and Abarth with the Italian manufacturer launching a new car every year from 2023

Η Fiat and the Abarth are the two automotive companies led by CEO Olivier Francois. On the occasion of the presentation of the new Abarth 500e, the number one of the main Italian carmaker spoke a little about the future of the two companies. As for Fiat, Francois confirmed that in the coming years the Italian company's range will be enriched with numerous proposals. The number one of the Turin-based brand confirmed that from 2023 every year a new car will become part of the Italian house's range. Francois also clarified that by new he means a new model and not a restyling or new version.

CEO Olivier Francois shows the future of Fiat and Abarth

We recall that 2023 will be the year of the new 600 which will return as a compact SUV produced in Tychy, Poland. 2024, on the other hand, should be the year in which the new Panda debuts, which will likely be produced in Serbia at Kragujevac and will have a very different look from the current model. 2025, on the other hand, should be the year of a mid-size SUV.

Francois confirmed that Fiat continues to play a key role in making Stellantis the group with the highest sales volumes worldwide. However, the Italian company will not launch different models from the usual ones and therefore will not launch sports cars, luxury or large cars. In the US it is currently confirmed that there will be room for the new electric 500.

As far as Abarth is concerned, the scorpion house will continue to focus on Fiat and specifically the 500. Therefore, there will be no Abarth car versions from other Stellantis automakers as some had assumed. At the moment it is difficult for Francois to speculate the arrival of an Abarth SUV in Europe, even if in fact the idea of an electric sports SUV could be a seductive novelty in our continent as well.
