Start with the right ...pedal!

What does it take to make a great video, addictive and cinematic? A super driver (Rhys Millen), a supercar preferably rear-wheel drive, lots of expensive cameras and microphones, an otherworldly location capable of showcasing the supercar's assets, the best sound and vision technicians, experienced in the genre (see Fast & Furious) helicopters and drones for shooting shots in inaccessible areas and finally talent and inspiration for directing.

All this and more seems to be available from the American lubricant company Pennzoil, continuing the Joyride range with the Tundra version, taking it to new heights...in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

Specifically in the Kananaskis mountain range at an altitude of up to 10,390 feet (3,166 kilometers) above sea level where the people at Pennzoil saw it as the perfect setting to put the BMW M6 engine to the ultimate test and advertise Pennzoil PurePlus lubricant.

In such a demanding environment with temperatures well below freezing the engine must continue to be lubricated continuously. But when the engine is running in the freezing cold the engine oil that is too thick will not protect key engine components. With Pennzoil PurePlusTM oil, it is kept at optimum levels from start to finish, from cold engine start to keeping horsepower and acceleration free without compromising performance and after long hours of stress.

Let's go to the BMW M6 Coupe with 560 horses from the 4.4 litre V8 engine that accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and offers generous joy to driver and spectators. Remarkably, it is also a manual 6-speed M6, for an unadulterated driving experience that appeals to the incurably romantic and obsessed with driving. Really what other European or Japanese supercar with 560bhp also comes with a manual gearbox today?

The M6 also has a racing heritage as the BMW M6 Coupe serves as the basis for the GTLM version that races for BMW Team RLL in the IMSA WeatherTech Sports Championship.

Happy New Year and may the dreams of every car lover come true!
