The Audi R8 E-Tron silently tears up the Nurburgring: unchallenged or not?

The Audi R8, you know it. Well, now you're about to learn about the R8 E-Tron, which embodies the latest electric motor trend. Lean you wouldn't say, with 456bhp and 679lb ft of torque at the rear wheels. But the question, as you watch it charge through the green hell of the Nurburgring, with nothing but the screeching of its tyres struggling to maintain traction, is this: Does it feel lame?

For the record, however, the all-electric Audi R8 recorded a time of 8.09.099 on the 20.8 kilometres of track hell, with race driver Markus Wilkenhock at the wheel.
