Alfa Romeo : Alejandro Mesonero-Romanos as Head of Design

The Spanish car designer, a graduate of London's prestigious Royal College of Arts, has been appointed Head of Design at Alfa Romeo.

Having worked in Spain, South Korea and France, Alejandro Mesonero-Romanos, will put his international experience at the service of Stellantis Group from 1η July 2021, taking up the position of Chief Design Officer of Alfa Romeo. Mr. Mesonero-Romanos will report to Stellantis' Chief Design Officer, Mr. Jean-Pierre Ploué.

Alejandro Mesonero-Romanos is known for his dynamic design style, which has revitalised Seat/Cupra. His approach to the new Cupra Tavascan and Formentor, the 4η generation of the Seat Leon, and the 5η generation of the Ibiza and Arona clearly shows the way of its design approach. It will now focus on the new era of Alfa Romeo, where electrification and new production processes will be combined with the rich heritage of the brand, which this year celebrates 111 years of life.
