Peugeot has started 2019... gassed up

Like the 308 GTi, its fastest model, Peugeot started the year with a bang in terms of sales. That's because from the very first days of the new year, it seemed that it was going to attract a lot of interest from customers! In January, the French brand achieved 11.1% market share in passenger cars, taking the 2nd place in sales. In total passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, Peugeot maintains second place, confirming its leading role in the market as a whole. 

In a passenger car market that saw a 4.7% year-on-year growth in January, the Lion brand achieved a growth of 11.6% in the corresponding period.

This performance is due on the one hand to the highly successful commercial success of the Peugeot 2008, 3008 and 5008 SUVs and on the other hand to the Peugeot 208, which will be the main protagonist for the year that has just begun. 

The brand's success continues in the light commercial market with PEUGEOT Professionnel capturing a market share of 8.4%. The Peugeot Partner, Boxer and Expert played a decisive role as they ranked in the top five of registrations in their segment.
