Volvo Car Hellas announces very attractive prices for the S60 and V60
- S60 T3 1.5 Auto or V60 T3 1.5 Auto in Kinetic version, with 24.300 €
- S60 T3 1.5 Auto or V60 T3 1.5 Auto in Livstyl version, with 27.350 €
- S60 D4 2.0 or V60 D4 2.0 in Kinetic version 30.590 €, in Livstyl version 33.740 €
- S60 D4 2.0 Auto or V60 D4 2.0 Auto, with the excellent 8-speed automatic transmission in Kinetic version 32.800 €, in Livstyl version 35.970 €
The Volvo S60 and V60, the Swedish brand's premium mid-size sedan and its sport wagon version respectively, are two of the best-sellers in the Greek market. The luxury, high technology and safety they offer have given them a place at the top of their class sales in recent years. At the same time, the inspiring, genuine Scandinavian design of both of them puts consumers in a pleasant reflection of choice. This reflection may now become more intense, as Volvo Car Hellas is equalising the pricing of both models in several versions, even offering them for a limited period of time at very special prices.
More specifically, the Volvo S60 and V60 T3 1.5 Auto with the new 1,498 cc, 152 hp petrol engine and standard automatic gearbox in the richly equipped Kinetic version both have a suggested retail price of €24,300, making them undoubtedly an excellent purchase proposition. The new Drive-E turbo engine has been developed exclusively by Volvo and is perhaps the first engine in its class to combine such a high power-to-torque ratio that is usually only found in diesel engines (25.5 hp over a wide rev range, 1,680-4,020 rpm). And the combination with the automatic gearbox, which is standard equipment on the car, offers excellent values in all the figures of immediate interest to the driver: 210 km/h top speed, 0-100 in 8.6 seconds, with fuel consumption in mixed conditions limited to an impressive 5.8 litres/100km (the corresponding figures for the V60 T3 1.5 Auto are 205, 8.7" and 5.9).
In terms of equipment, the Kinetic version of the S60 and V60 are equipped with 2nd generation City Safety for collision avoidance (active up to 50 km./hour), Dynamic chassis for more sporty behaviour, driver, passenger, side and roof airbags, ABS, dynamic stability and traction control, Start/Stop, side impact protection system (SIPS) and neck protection system (WHIPS), leather steering wheel and gear selector, Cruise Control, Performance audio system with colour screen, central locking with remote control, automatic dual-zone climate control, Clean Zone cabin cleaning system, power front/rear windows, power handbrake, daytime running lights, fuel economy computer, multi-adjustable driver's seat, power-adjustable/heated outside mirrors, roof spoiler (V60), alloy wheels and more.
The same pricing philosophy applies to the highly popular Livstyl versions of the two models. The Volvo S60 and V60 T3 1.5 Auto in the Livstyl version have a suggested retail price of 27.350 €, with even more extensive equipment, which includes (in addition to Kinetic): a digital instrument panel with 8" high-resolution display, active directional headlights with Dual-Xenon technology, Sensus Connect High Performance audio system with a larger 7" colour screen, DVD player, USB and iPod, Bluetooth, steering wheel controls and 8 speakers, Sensus Navigation system, LED interior lighting package and more.
The common price for the Kinetic and Livstyl versions also applies to models wearing the two-litre engine. The reason is the S60 D4 2.0 and V60 D4 2.0, with the 1,969 cc, 190 hp diesel engine. An excellent case which is made even more tempting by the new tax legislation, which bypasses the psychological barrier of engine capacity. All the more so in the case of Volvo, with the Swedish brand having created and developed the Drive-E family of technologically advanced powertrains, which, capped at just 2,000 cc, offers impressive power and performance with very low fuel consumption. An example is the S60 D4, 190 hp, 230 km/h top speed, 0-100 in 7.6 seconds, consumption in mixed conditions just 3.9 litres/100km! The S60 D4 2.0 and V60 D4 2.0 in the Kinetic version have a suggested retail price of €30,590 and with Volvo's excellent eight-speed automatic transmission, the price is €32,800. The same models in the Livstyl version have a suggested retail price of €33,740 and €35,970 respectively.
