The BMW Group offers fresh impetus with two innovative micromobility concepts for zero-emission urban mobility. Their intelligent design is based on sustainability principles and are ideal for city conditions. These prototypes are being implemented in collaboration with CUBE and SoFlow. The official announcement of the licenses granted by the BMW Group to the two partners was made a few days ago at the IAA Mobility 2021 exhibition.
The CUBE Concept Dynamic Cargo inspired by BMW is a compact, three-wheeled, cargo bike concept that combines high versatility with versatility of use for increased usability all year round. It also features a variable loading platform with innovative accessories for carrying cargo and/or children and for leisure activities.
The SoFlow Concept CLEVER COMMUTE inspired by BMW, features an ergonomic design suitable for everyday use, high driving stability and extremely compact folding. It is a new proposal for mixed mobility. The innovative 'public transport mode' programme makes it easier to integrate it into public transport journeys for longer journeys. Ideal for park & ride. Its compact folding allows it to be carried in the car's luggage compartment.

The CUBE Concept Dynamic Cargo inspired by BMW is the first dynamic 'pick-up' transport bike. The key component of the three-wheeled vehicle is the front main frame, which is connected to the rear section via a rotating axle and tilts in corners. It remains stable in all turns without leaning towards the road. This is combined with the electric drive system - which is activated as soon as the rider starts pedaling and moves the two rear wheels - making the transport bike as easy to ride as a regular bike. In addition to the much greater stability achieved in all weather conditions compared to two-wheeled bikes, the rear wheels with their rigid, non-rotating axle form the basis for a versatile pick-up-type transport platform. A variety of innovative accessories for transporting luggage and/or children can be mounted on it. The modular design philosophy paves the way for more types of use. The non-rotating design of the transport platform has the added advantage that the rider is rarely aware of the additional weight being carried, allowing safe, stable transport of all loads.

Flexible e-scooter on multimodal mobility
With the SoFlow Concept CLEVER COMMUTE inspired by BMW, the BMW Group presents an e-scooter that easily folds up for transport on public transport and/or in the car without any compromise in driving stability.
In 'public transport mode', the sides of the floor are folded up and the rear wheel folds into the gap created. This mechanism significantly reduces the wheelbase of the e-scooter so that it can be transported even on escalators without difficulty. This is an important requirement if the journey involves underground routes.
In this configuration it can roll on both wheels, like a suitcase on wheels. Also, the integrated motor in the front wheel hub provides assistance to the SoFlow Concept CLEVER COMMUTE inspired by BMW on an uphill ramp. The compact folding of the e-scooter allows it to be transported on all means of public transport free of charge.
The SoFlow Concept CLEVER COMMUTE inspired by BMW folds down to a size that easily fits in a small trunk, while larger luggage compartments accommodate enough of it for family outings.
