Opel's history of compact models began with the Kadett in 1936 and continues today with the new Astra, the 11th generation of a compact Opel model. A total of 24 million Kadett and Astra cars have been built. The new model is also the epitome of Opel's design philosophy with its embossed design and flowing lines. In addition, it looks more dynamic and slimmer than ever before. In short: the new Astra combines performance with elegance and will redefine the compact class with top innovations - either as a five-door or as a Sports Tourer version, which also celebrated its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show and will be launched in the coming months.
