Mazda said it and did it! In a simple, but very concise announcement, the Japanese company has informed that it is bringing back the famous rotary engine.

True to its multi-solution approach to the global challenges of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, Mazda will unveil a new engine option for the MX-30 at the 2023 Brussels Motor Show. Available on the European market from spring this year, the unique plug-in hybrid engine and transmission system for Mazda's compact crossover will feature an electric generator powered by a newly developed rotary engine.
The new MX-30 will be unveiled at the Mazda stand at the Brussels Motor Show on 13 January 2023, with the press conference taking place at 10:00 CET (11.00 am ET).
