Oliver Bearman and Van Amersfoort Racing dominated Monza

The 2021 event champion Oliver Bearman finished the year with three wins at Monza, while his team, Van Amersfoort Racing, won the teams' title.

Abarth's T-Jet engines were heard for the last time in this, the eighth year of the Italian F.4 Championship powered by Abarth. Britain's Oliver Bearman, who had already mathematically clinched the title from the previous race, impressed once again by winning all three races of the three-day event. Similarly, his team, Van Amersfoort Racing, won the teams' title, while their driver Nikita Bedrin from Russia won the debut drivers' title.

Oliver Bearman's presence was also impressive at Monza, where for the second time this year the Briton won all three races of the round, taking his total to 11 wins in 2021, just one short of the all-time record held by Denis Hauger from 2019. The legendary circuit also saw the talents of Lorenzo Patrese, son of former Formula 1 driver Riccardo, shine, who took pole position in all three races but ultimately failed to redeem that performance with a podium place.

Concluding an excellent season, Champion Oliver Bearman commented on his success in the "Temple of Speed" as well: "If I look back to the beginning of the year it seems incredible that we are here in the Monza, to have won all three races in this Temple of Speed and overall to have won 1η position 11 times during the year. It's been a fantastic season and I have to thank the There is Amersfoort Racing, which also had an excellent year winning the team and rookie driver titles. I still have a long way to go, but the Formula 4 is certainly the best starting point."

For his part, Nikita Bedrin didn't have a particularly good showing at Monza, yet he still managed to take 1st place in theη place in the Rookie Drivers' Championship. "I'm very happy with the title and I regret that I didn't fight for the overall lead because of the mistakes I made during the year. But I was a little bit lucky and that's how I got to win the rookie drivers' title. I'm also very happy about the Oliver and our team for dominating this year's event."

CRAM Motorsport's Greek driver, Tzortzis Markogiannis, fought on the Monza circuit among 34 drivers, managing to gain up to 13 positions compared to the starting order, while adding valuable kilometres of racing experience on one of the most historic circuits in the world. The photo shoot at the legendary Parabolica with the other drivers will surely be a special memory for the young talented Greek driver.
