The body style of the C5 X makes an immediate impression at first glance, being dynamic, robust and discreet. Refreshing the rules of the Segent D, the large segment in the car market, it has a fastback body that combines saloon and station wagon characteristics, adding some of the elements that make SUVs so attractive. It's a brand new car proposition in terms of aesthetics and is displayed with particular attention to aerodynamics.
The long bonnet, the fluid and aerodynamic lines, the high body "shoulders" and the characteristic configuration above the rear wheels make the model particularly dynamic and distinctive. They are also references to various models that have achieved particular success in the history of the top-of-the-range Citroën. The tailgate, another distinctive feature of Citroën's large cars, offers all the practicality of a wagon: it has a large, functional opening and a low loading threshold for ease and practicality in everyday use.

The Advanced Comfort seats at C5 X is the benchmark for passenger comfort, making you feel at home, as if you were in your own living room. They offer the feeling of a welcoming environment with a unique aesthetic appeal, with the superior comfort that comes from the appearance alone, thanks to the special upholstery. Comfort is produced by a high-density mattress and a densely structured foam, allowing you to feel relaxed even after longer journeys.
A genuine model of the Citroën designed to recreate the feeling of the magic carpet as the iconic models from Citroën's history did and to overcome all obstacles, potholes, bumps, bumps, bumps, with characteristic comfort. The shutter, connected to the tailgate, facilitates loading by following the opening of the door, which is electric and has a hands-free function to open without any effort, even without the operator using his hands. The entire cabin for passengers has cleverly designed storage areas, which have been carefully designed to contain, store and keep your everyday items away from prying eyes.
Plug-in hybrid version ë-Comfort: electric every day and with an internal combustion engine when necessary
The C5 X also offers an all-purpose version, suitable for everyday life and for the unexpected, unrestricted and in complete freedom: the Plug-in Hybrid. This hybrid, with its 225 hp, offers the pleasure of silent driving and operation with zero CO2 emissions, with the possibility of driving more than 50 km in pure electric mode (ZEV), suitable for the majority of users' daily journeys, with a top speed as a pure electric car of 135 km/h. It is therefore possible to go a week without using the combustion engine while making your usual journeys, charging the vehicle as required, at home, at work or at a public charging point. At the same time, it is possible to travel long distances, take weekend trips or holidays without worrying about recharging, as the internal combustion engine takes over, which is economical and efficient.

It's an impressive technology, illustrated in the 19_19 Concept, that contributes to a more serene and relaxed driving experience: drivers no longer need to take their eyes off the road to get the information they want from speed to phone calls to navigation.
A tablet-like environment thanks to My Citroën Drive Plus
The C5 X introduces its brand new entertainment interface Citroën, with a focus on connectivity. Combined with a 12-inch HD touchscreen, 4 USB Type C ports and wireless smartphone charging, the system is updated in real-time via the Cloud and features a Mirror screen mode without having to connect your smartphone. The system is designed as if it were a tablet: customization, settings and display preferences, widget on the home screen. This system features natural, efficient and easy-to-use voice recognition, a personal assistant that understands what is being said, answers questions and executes commands, similar to the personal assistant we saw proposed in the 19_19 Concept.
A set of driver assistance systems for safer and more relaxed driving
The C5 X is also at the cutting edge of technology in the field of driver assistance systems, using various devices installed throughout the vehicle: radar, cameras and sensors.
The C5 X offers the best semi-autonomous driving experience (Level 2) harmonised with current legislation. The Highway Driver Assist, which combines adaptive cruise control by Stop & Go and Lane Keeping Assist: Thanks to this set, the driver no longer needs to manage speed or trajectory under certain conditions, as the vehicle takes care of all these parameters.
Many other functions make everyday life easier, such as long-range blind spot detection, long-range blind spot detection, long-range Rear Cross Traffic Alert, which detects any danger during reversing, the Top 360 Vision, which facilitates manoeuvring by displaying the external environment on the touchscreen tablet and the Proximity Hands–Free which gives access and starts the engine without the driver taking any action, and automatically locks and unlocks the doors when the driver approaches or leaves the vehicle.
