The European version of the new Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe is a fact

The European version of the award-winning SUV is based on a completely new architecture that is exclusively combined with the innovative 4xe Plug-in Hybrid system.

The full range of the new Jeep® Grand Cherokee 4xe starts its commercial launch in Italy, France and Germany, and is expected to be available for orders in the Greek market in the coming weeks. Buyers will have a choice of Limited 4xe, Trailhawk 4xe, Overland 4xe and Summit Reserve 4xe versions, each with its own unique features, but with the innovative 4xe four-wheel drive Plug-in Hybrid system as a common denominator.

Since the first introduction of the Grand Cherokee name in 1992, with the luxury model's spectacular entry into the Detroit auto show through the glass showroom door, the premium SUV segment has become the ultimate benchmark. The new, 5th generation Jeep Grand Cherokee builds on this heavy heritage, but using an all-new platform, specifically designed for the Plug-in Hybrid system, as well as leading-edge technology and connectivity solutions. For the first time in the model's history, luxury and top off-road capabilities are combined with all-electric powertrain capability, putting into practice Jeep's goal as summed up in the phrase "Zero Emission Freedom".

"The new Jeep® Grand Cherokee 4xe is our flagship vehicle that will lead us into a new era of refined luxury, innovative technology, advanced 4×4 capabilities and electrified drive," said Christian Meunier, CEO of Jeep. "With the perfect balance of dynamic features and off-road capabilities, the new Jeep® Grand Cherokee 4xe is the most advanced, luxurious and capable 4×4 Grand Cherokee ever."

The fact that the new Grand Cherokee will be available exclusively in Europe with the 4xe Plug-in Hybrid system is perfectly in line with the brand's strategy of aiming to have all its sales on the continent exclusively made up of electrified models by the end of the decade.

"With the arrival of the new Grand Cherokee 4xe in Europe, we are taking another step in Jeep's electrification journey," said Antonella Bruno, Head of Jeep Europe. "We started this journey in late 2020 with the launch of the Renegade and Compass 4xe, and a year later the Wrangler 4xe came along. Success came almost immediately and today more than 1 in 3 Jeeps sold in Europe are equipped with the 4xe system. Now it's the turn of the Jeep® Grand Cherokee 4xe to follow the same successful path."
