Watch from a Ford GT40, a... wet lap at Goodwood
During the Goodwood Revival and while it was raining heavily, Ford driver Chris Ward started going too fast and completing laps at crazy times up to three seconds faster than the race leader. Despite the tough conditions, he also decided that his GT40 with its 4.7-litre V8 had no reason not to overtake a much more powerful Lola T70. After all, power becomes irrelevant when there is no grip on wet pavement.
In the end, he finished in 4th place, after setting a lap record first.
