The BMW M Performance range of exterior components for the new BMW M2 therefore blend perfectly with the style and geometry of the two-door model's design level. They have already received certification together with the entire vehicle, which means that they comply with the established safety regulations as well as the strict standards of the BMW Group.
The additional, carbon components for the front, rear and side sections are made of carbon fibre reinforced plastic. These optimise the aerodynamic characteristics of the car, while underlining its racing aura with a transparent finish that leaves the carbon fibre composition underneath exposed to view. Less weight, more sound: muffler system M Performance of titanium.
The M Performance titanium muffler system available for the new BMW M2 ensures reduced weight, a recognisable appearance and a distinctive race car sound. The front pipes are made of lightweight stainless steel, while the rear muffler is made entirely of titanium. As a result, the M Performance series' titanium muffler system is around eight kilograms lighter than standard. The exhaust system with electrically controlled flaps and centrally mounted quad exhaust outlet is offered in combination with a specially modified rear diffuser. The exhaust tailpipe is also made of titanium and has a ceramic coating. The optimised exhaust gas path creates an even sportier driving experience. The sound can be adjusted with the help of the powertrain settings in the M Setup menu and achieves a particularly exciting racing car-like tone in the Sport and Sport+ modes.
Titanium/carbon fibre-clad M Performance exhaust tips are available as an impressive addition to the standard exhaust system fitted to the new BMW M2. The advanced mix of materials and perforated inner tubes give the rear section an air of exclusivity.
Post M Performance with height adjustable springs
The M Performance suspension available as a retrofit component for the new BMW M2 offers even greater agility and cornering dynamics.
