Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. (Nissan) and Nissan Motorsports & Customizing Co., Ltd. (NMC) have therefore issued an announcement regarding the outline of events for the 23rd NISMO Festival. The festival - an institution, which is held in honor of fans everywhere Nissan / NISMO, will be held at Fuji Speedway in the Shizuoka region on December 4.
This year's NISMO Festival will include the Nissan Z GT500, which made its SUPER GT debut this season and won the event's championship, bringing Nissan its first GT500 title in seven years. To mark this achievement, a SUPER GT championship ceremony will be held.
Takao Katagiri, Head of Nissan's Motorsports Business Unit and President of the NMC, says that "this year, Nissan teams won the SUPER GT championships in both the GT500 and GT300 classes respectively. We are grateful to all our fans who have supported us strongly throughout the year. The whole team hopes to share this joy with everyone at the NISMO Festival. The Nissan Z GT4, which has attracted worldwide attention, and other Z race cars from Japan and abroad will also be on display and will be holding demonstration runs. In addition, a memorial exhibition and other events will be held to honor the memory of racing legend Kunimitsu Takahashi, who achieved many brilliant results for Nissan.
To make this NISMO Festival even more exciting, after a two-year absence, items and vehicles from previous events will be on display, including a 1990s race car from the 24 Hours of Le Mans and a Group A Skyline GT-R (R32).
