Tragic accident today, in a dragster race, in Agrinio. The well-known racing driver Gerasimos Filippatos died in an exit from the track during the time trials of the race.
The 33-year-old athlete, who had several distinctions in Greece and the rest of Europe with the Nissan GT-R he was driving, for unknown reasons lost control of his vehicle about 300 meters from the start. Without traction, having "accumulated" several kilometers, he came off the track and stopped after several somersaults. He was recovered dead.
