Turin and four other European cities are the starting points for the 25ο Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique, the event dedicated to the race cars that participated at least once in the Monte Carlo Rally until 1983. The square Piazza San Carlo welcomed the crews who will start this unique experience from the city of Turin. The start is graced by the Alfa Romeo Toanle Plug-in Hybrid Q4, linking the brand's electrified future with its glorious racing past, as expressed by the 19 crews participating with models from the brand in this year's event. Among the 19 crews with Alfa Romeo cars are the Greeks Lyberis Papazoglou / Dimitris Bounazos with a 1977 Alfasud.

"We are delighted to be part of this event that brings Turin back into the spotlight. The DNA of Alfa Romeo is the genuine expression of the Italian sporting character since 1910." Mr. Raffaele Russo, Alfa Romeo's Head of Alfa Romeo for the Italian market, noted. "Today our goal is to redefine this concept for 21ο century and the new Tonal Plugin Hybrid Q4 is the ideal vehicle to make our mark in terms of efficiency and sporty feel."

The Tonale Plug-in Hybrid Q4 is the first model in the brand's history to be capable of pure electric drive for up to 80km, while at the same time with a total output of 280 hp and the advanced Q4 all-wheel drive system it offers a delightful driving experience and top levels of safety. At the same time, it is the starting point in Alfa Romeo's ambitious journey to become a brand with an all-electric model range by 2027.

Since 1910, Alfa Romeo has maintained an unbroken relationship with motorsport, having won world and national titles and hundreds of victories. The oldest Alfa Romeo to take part in the 25ο Rally Monte-Carlo Historique is a 1900 Super of 1955, and as you would expect, most of the 19 crews will drive various versions of the Giula build from 1965 to 1975 in this marathon.
