O κ. Francesco CALCARA took over as Head Marketing and Communications of Alfa Romeo at
global level. Mr. Calcara will report to Mr. Jean–Philipe Imparato, CEO of Alfa Romeo.
With postgraduate studies in
Economics at University Luiss Guido Carli of Rome, Mr. Calcara το
most of his career has been devoted to the automotive industry,
developing a wealth of experience in the field of Sales and Marketing, while developing particular knowledge in premium part of the market.
In the first phase, his career
dedicated himself entirely to sales, taking on positions in the global sales force
market, initially in 2004 as the sales manager of Mazda in Italy and then as a
head of corporate sales development.
In 2007 he joined the staff of BMW Group Italy, where for almost 10 years he held positions
responsibility in the sales department, while in 2013 he took over the position of Director of
Sales of the MINI. In 2016, from the position of Luxury Marketing Manager of BMW designed the group's strategy in Italy.
In 2017 Mr. Calcara joined the PSA,
initially taking over the position of Brand Director of DS, while a year later, as
Managing Director of DS and Vice-President Sales & Marketing managed the successful course of the DS
in the Italian market.
