Lamborghini Urus SE: The Ultimate Plug-in Hybrid Super SUV with Unparalleled Performance
Lamborghini reveals the Urus SE, the most powerful and high-performance version of the Urus range, combining the world of ultra-sports cars with the innovation of plug-in hybrid vehicles. The premiere took place at the Nardò Technical Center (NTC), the same test site where the vehicle was developed, confirming its unrivalled dynamics and performance.
Plug-in Hybrid Power & Performance
The new Urus SE is equipped with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine in combination with a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor, mounted before the new automatic transmission 8 gears. The total power reaches the 800 hp (588 kW) and delivers maximum torque 950 Nm available from just 1,750 rpm to 5.750 rpm. These features allow the Urus SE to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and reach the 200 km/h in 11.2 seconds, with the top speed reaching 312 km/h.
Innovations in Dynamic Driving
One of the great innovations of the Urus SE is the new centrally mounted electric torque distribution system, which is combined with an electrohydraulic multi-plate clutch for continuous and variable torque distribution between the front and rear axles. The new electronically controlled limited slip differential on the rear axle allows oversteer "on demand", giving the driving experience of a thoroughbred super sports car.
These technical solutions were tested in the legendary Strada Bianca, the NTC off-road track, and the specially designed dynamic track, where the Urus SE demonstrated exceptional agility, allowing drivers to enjoy drifting with the comfort of a super sports coupe.
Sustainability & Certification
Lamborghini organised the presentation of the Urus SE in full compliance with the standard ISO 20121, obtaining certification from TÜV SÜD, confirming once again its commitment to sustainability. Through specific practices to reduce its environmental impact, such as the management of materials, energy and resources, the company promotes social responsibility.
Cooperation with Pirelli & High Technology Tyres
The technical collaboration between Lamborghini and Pirelli enhances the performance of the Urus SE through a special range of tyres. The tyres P Zero available in three sizes: 21″, 22″ and 23″, while the series Scorpion Winter 2 at 22″ is designed for optimal performance in winter conditions. Pirelli's new technologies, such as Elect™, enhance the characteristics of electric vehicles, offering an ideal experience in every situation.
Electric Driving & Autonomy
The Lamborghini Urus SE can also operate as a fully electric vehicle with four-wheel drive and a range of over 60 km thanks to the battery 25.9 kWh, located under the loading area. Visitors to the event had the opportunity to try out the new driving experience, with four Electric Performance Strategies that make Urus SE uniquely versatile and exciting.
