Opel at the IAA Mobility 2023 in Munich

Three world premieres: the Opel Experimental, the new Opel Corsa Electric and the new Opel Astra Sports Tourer Electric

Opel presents three world premieres at the IAA Mobility 2023. The impressive concept car Opel Experimental shows the brand's vision for the future, while the new Opel Corsa Electric and the new Opel Astra Sports Tourer Electric prove that everyday zero-emission driving is now possible. All three cars express the brand's product pillars: "Modern German", "Detox" and "Greenovation". Opel's philosophy is reflected in its overall presence at the IAA Mobility trade fair from September 5 to 10, both at the IAA Summit (Hall B2, Stand B20) and at Open Space (Odeonsplatz, Munich, Stand OP.390).

Transparent materials and digital experience: the Opel shows the future

Opel's "Bold & Pure" design philosophy dominates both pavilions. Translucent materials and large screens welcome the public and symbolize the evolution of the brand's corporate identity. Colors, materials and textures harmonize with the Experimental concept. In addition, the screens offer an interactive digital experience for visitors. Using Opel AI - artificial intelligence for image generation, developed specifically for Opel - and a special terminal located in the booth, they can create various backgrounds for the display behind the concept car. They can then download the image via a QR code to their smartphone and share it on social media.

The Opel Experimental is the tangible expression of Opel's efforts to push the limits of what is possible. It is a prototype car that provides a clear vision, not just for one model, but for the entire Opel brand. You can see the innovative Experimental as a symbol of everything Opel is trying to achieve at video "What if...".

The use of the screens as partition walls also underlines the concept of "Detox" in the two Opel booths. There are no unnecessary materials, instead Opel's minimalist and "transparent" presence puts the focus on the 3 electric models presented to the public for the first time.

Greenovation: a sustainable concept for a lower footprint CO2

The "Detox" design philosophy adopted in the construction of the two Opel pavilions aims to reduce the company's CO2. Mainly lightweight materials are used, which require fewer resources.

The pavilion has also been designed with the circular economy in mind. Many materials can be reused and recycled. The screens, which act as partition walls, can be used in future exhibitions or events. LED technology reduces energy consumption and the floor is made of recyclable material. Visitors to the IAA Summit, as well as to Open Space, will experience the brand new Opel image that will take them into the future of the brand - modern, detoxed and sustainable.
