The first electric car with permanent all-wheel drive will be in 2015

The Outlander PHEV, the first electric passenger car with permanent four-wheel drive-4WD, with more than 40,000 sales in the European market, will be the star of Mitsubishi Motors at AUTOMOTIVE 2015, which opens its gates to the public on Saturday 14 to Sunday 22 November 2015 at the Fencing Hall (former Western Airport).

With a long tradition of pioneering technologies, especially in the development of EVs, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) has successfully decided to expand into larger electric vehicles suitable for long distances with many passengers and their luggage. The Outlander PHEV is one of the ambitious models with more than 40,000 sales, which will play a key role in removing the limitations imposed by today's batteries and bring EVs into mass production.

The New Outlander PHEV stands out for the following:

Mitsubishi Motors' first Plug-in Hybrid is an EV-based vehicle, resulting from MMC's extensive EV and electronics expertise, with the support of a petrol engine when needed.

Making excellent use of Mitsubishi's distinguished expertise in 4-Wheel-Drive systems; it is also the first electric passenger car with permanent 4WD in mass production by a mainstream manufacturer.

Last but not least, having evolved within the New Outlander family, it has none of the drawbacks of simple conversions, while the additional EV accessories don't reduce the available space.

In addition to the Outlander PHEV, visitors to the exhibition will have the opportunity to see the renewed ASX, which after 5 years of successful presence in the Greek market is available with two state-of-the-art engines. A Euro-6 diesel engine with 114 hp and 270 Nm of torque and a 1.6 litre MIVEC petrol engine with 117 hp and 154 Nm of torque, designed to meet the modern lifestyle. The refreshed ASX is a complete proposition in the dynamic mid-size crossover segment that has received numerous changes to the interior design of the passenger cabin with an emphasis on comfort and luxury.

At the same time, the smallest member of the family, the Space Star, will also be present at the Mitsubishi Motors stand, which is MMC's proposal in the small car category - the WORLD class of small vehicles, with key features of very low levels of consumption and CO2 emissions thanks to the application of technologies to reduce environmental impact such as advanced aerodynamics, significant weight reduction, intelligent use of space and high performance engines.
