The new SsangYong Tivoli breaks the 100,000 unit production barrier in a very short time since its launch.
In mid-June 2016, the 100,000th SsangYong Tivoli crossed the production line in a special ceremony at the South Korean production plant. This is the first SsagnYong model to surpass this target in such a short time since the start of production. The popular SsangYong Rexton had reached the same target in almost twice as long.
The absolutely successful commercial performance of the models based on the Tivoli platform (together with the XLV) is reflected in their excellent sales, which contributed to a 3-fold increase in the compact SUV segment in the Korean market in 2015, compared to 2014, and to the additional increase of this segment by a further 34% based on sales in the first 5 months of this year, compared to the same period last year. In this market too, the Tivoli brand name has established itself as the No. 1 brand in the segment. It is worth noting that globally, sales of models based on the Tivoli platform increased by 55.9% for the January-May 2016 period, compared to the same period last year.
As SsangYong's production manager said, "The success of the Tivoli, as well as the XLV, which is based on the same platform, is the result of hard work by everyone, aimed at producing products of impeccable quality. We will do our best to ensure that we maximise customer satisfaction by enhancing the productivity and quality we offer through our cars."
