Combining higher
performance with greater efficiency, η upgraded version of the unique petrol engine
Mazda's e-Skyactiv X SPCCI (Spark Controlled Compression Ignition), is Now available at
Mazda3 and CX-30 2021 models.
The performance of the upgraded e-Skyactive X has
improved, now offering 6 more horsepower and 16 more horsepowerNm above torque. Result
of this is that the total power of this is now reaching the 186 horses (137 kW) at 6.000rpm and the maximum torque
The 240Nm at 4.000S.A.L. There is also an improvement in consumption prices under the Protocol WLTP, which
appears reduced by 0.4 λ./100 kms., but also the emissions CO2 who have
limited by 8 c/km.
These improvements in both performance and
economy are achieved by changing the compression ratio of the engine e-Skyactive X
From 16.3:1 at 15.0:1. The
modifications include the optimisation of combustion, the different pistons,
as well as the upgrade of the drive system software Mazda M Hybrid. This had as
result not only in broadening the scope of operation and efficiency
combustion, but to ensure greater stability of the ignition which
further reduces the already low incidence rate of the unwanted
the phenomenon of spontaneous combustion (experiments), or pre-ignition, which
is usually due to different fuel qualities in different markets.
The versions with the engine e-Skyactive X constitute
today the 40% of the models Mazda3 (Hatchback & Sedan) and CX-30 sold throughout Europe in the 2020. Ο petrol engine Skyactiv-X available with
