Turning the ordinary into something truly special is what has traditionally characterised Abarth. Today, just a few weeks after the 73α To celebrate the brand's birthday, Scorpio strikes again, presenting the new 595/695 range, which expresses as never before the spirit of the brand's founder, Carlo Abarth (1908-1979).
Two models are available, the Abarth 595 with 165 hp and the Abarth 695 with 180 hp. Both models are equipped with special features and multiple personalisation options, focusing in their own way on the two key elements of Abarth: distinctive style and driving pleasure.
Based on the two models, buyers can compose their own Abarth by applying the four different equipment packages, just as in the past the legendary Scorpio enhancement kits turned everyday cars into sports cars. The Abarth 595 can be fitted with the "595 Turismo Pack" which emphasizes style, or "F595 Pack", which focuses on performance. Similarly, the already special Abarth 695 can be further upgraded with the highly refined "695 Turismo Pack" or with the "695 Competizione Pack" which, as its name suggests, focuses on the ultimate driving experience.
In addition to the above packages a number of options give even more freedom of configuration for customers.
One of the most distinctive is the impressive "Spoiler ad Assetto Variabile" spoiler, which can be adjusted in twelve positions (from 0ο up to 60ο) and upgrades the aerodynamic performance of the whole.
To Abarth 595: 165 horsepower of adrenaline
The Abarth 595 has all the features that give it the distinctive character and driving pleasure you expect from a brand car. In its standard version it is equipped with 16" light alloy wheels, dual chrome exhausts, a sports steering wheel and aluminium pedals, as well as a high-performance braking system with ventilated discs on all wheels. Under the bonnet, the 1.4 T-jet Euro 6D Final-spec engine is fitted with a Garrett turbocharger and produces 165bhp, an output that gives the 595 a top speed of 218km/h and 0-100km/h acceleration of just 7.3s.
595 Turismo pack
Available for both the closed and convertible versions of the 595 is the 595 Turismo trim package, which focuses on Italian style with elements such as matte chrome mirror covers, 17-inch Granturismo wheels and leather seats in a combination of brown and black.
F595 pack
For motorsport enthusiasts, the F595 focuses on sporty elements, such as the impressive Record Monza Sovrapposto active exhaust with four - two on each side - vertical exhaust tips. At the touch of a button on the dashboard, the driver can choose between a subtle sporty sound or the characteristic Abarth roar. The matte dashboard, suspension with Koni shock absorbers on all four wheels, 17-inch light alloy wheels and the special "F595" badge recalling the brand's involvement in Formula 4 complete the picture of the special package for the 595.
The Abarth 695: The ultimate expression of Scorpio
The new Abarth 695 is the most distinctive and high-performance expression of the brand. At the heart of the whole is once again the 1.4 T-jet engine which, for the occasion, delivers 180 hp and 250 Nm of torque at 3,000 rpm, offering a top speed of 225 km/h and 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 6.7 seconds. On both axles, Koni FSD shock absorbers combined with Brembo's braking system consisting of 4-piston calipers on the front wheels and ventilated discs front (305mm) and rear (240mm) ensure the ultimate driving experience. The famous sound of the Record Monza exhaust system completes the set. Inside, the combination of materials such as Alcantara, carbon fibre and aluminium set the tone for the model's philosophy.
The 695 Turismo pack
Focusing on those who want luxury to go hand in hand with dynamic character, the 695 Turismo pack offers even more equipment, which includes leather sports seats, differently designed 17-inch wheels and a panoramic glass sunroof.
The 695 Competizione pack
Abarth's performance and racing spirit are perfectly encapsulated in the 695 Competizione pack. The Record Monza Sovrapposto exhaust system is paired with Sabelt's race-spec seats which are specially padded and designed to maximise body support. Optionally, the 695 Competizione pack can also be combined with a mechanical limited slip differential for even better traction.
