The new SsangYong Rexton has won the 2017 Grand Prix for Ergonomic Design, highlighting the attention to detail that has gone into its construction.
It was 2015 when the SsangYong Tivoli won the all-important Grand Prix for Ergonomic Design, proving that a promising new era has begun for the oldest Korean car manufacturer.
Now it's time for the new SsangYong Rexton, officially unveiled at the Seoul Motor Show at the end of March, to win this prestigious accolade. This is an institution organized by the Korea Ergonomics Institute and evaluates new products in 7 areas regarding their ergonomics: product friendliness, product friendliness, efficiency, usability, tangibility, safety, environmental friendliness, cost.
The new Rexton , whose production has just begun, is SsangYong's crown jewel, and encapsulates within its 4.8-metre-long body all the technology and luxury you'd expect from a large, premium SUV.
In this case, the Rexton was awarded for the tangible quality of its materials, its integrated product character, its differentiated (from the competition) development philosophy, but also for its leading ergonomic design technology.
As a reminder, the interior of the new Rexton aims to offer "refined luxury". The leather trim, which makes use of Nappa leather, or the electric seats with memories that also "save" the position of the exterior mirrors, are just a few examples that evoke the feeling of superior quality that passengers receive. At the same time, the new Rexton offers the largest spaces in its class, thanks to the optimal use of its interior.
The new model is expected in Greece next autumn.
