Directly available in the Greek market, through the Network of Authorized Dealers of Saracakis Brothers S.A., is the renewed Mitsubishi ASX that presents the new visual identity Dynamic Shield of MMC.
With production exceeding 900,000 units since its launch in 2010, the ASX* has proven to be a global success for Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC), but also a corporate choice that has been vindicated by the ever-growing C-SUV segment.
And what is this new visual identity? For a smooth transition into the next generation of Mitsubishi Motors vehicles, the 2017 ASX adopts MMC's new visual identity, called "Dynamic Shield".
The Dynamic Shield visual identity first unveiled on the 2014 Outlander PHEV Concept-S show vehicle symbolises the functionality and reliable safety inherent in Mitsubishi Motors SUVs with bold chrome bars on either side of the grille that 'protect' the 3-Diamond emblem to create a three-dimensional sense of motion.
In the case of the ASX, the front bumper has been modified to accommodate the chrome bars, while the centre section is black to reference the New Outlander (see photo above) or the eX-Concept. The grille now consists of thin horizontal grilles and is connected to the headlights achieving a unified look. This new face honours both the past and the design principle "Form follows Function".
It follows the Operation). Inherited from the bumper guards known from the Pajero/Montero/Shogun, it provides a unique sense of security for passengers. In this sense, the new visual identity expresses a design heritage in a sophisticated form. It is what is called the 'Dynamic Shield' philosophy."
In addition to the new look, the European-spec 2017 ASX will feature a shark fin antenna, rear seats with better lateral support and new material, as well as improved sound insulation. With improved sound insulation up to 10% better from external noise and from the engine (measured in the front driver and passenger seats VS
1.6 Petrol MY15.5) additionally +2% better sound insulation inside the vehicle when it is moving at a constant speed (compared to MY17).
These changes add to the recent improvements made to the ASX for Europe:
- Longer service intervals at 20.000 km
- New features (16" multi-spoke alloy wheels, piano black inserts on the steering wheel, automatic anti-dazzle centre mirror, etc.
